Empowering Local, National Humanitarian Actors (ELNHA) Project

This project aims to strengthen the capacity of local and national humanitarian actors to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from humanitarian crises. Under this initiative, RSDA focuses on institutional capacity building, community-based disaster risk reduction, humanitarian coordination, gender-sensitive humanitarian response, and strengthening linkages with local government disaster management mechanisms. The project enhances local leadership, accountability, and sustainability in humanitarian action.

Rural Society Development Association (RSDA) is a non-profit, non-political development organization established in 1984 in Kurigram, Bangladesh. We work with poor and disaster-affected communities—especially women and children—to reduce poverty, build resilience, and promote gender equality. Through community-led development and humanitarian support, RSDA helps people create sustainable and dignified livelihoods.
